David Dodson has edited seventeen feature films, from low-budget to big-budget, from American movies to international projects, as well as trailers, episodic television, and music videos. Most recently David edited the MGM feature "About Fate" starring Emma Roberts, Britt Robertson, Cheryl Hines, and Thomas Mann, as well as "High Expectations" starring Taylor Gray and Kelsey Grammer.

After accepting an invitation to Moscow to edit a Russian language comedy, David went on to edit several more Russian language films for Marius Weisberg, one of the five most successful film directors in Russia. Each of the films that David has made with Weisberg has opened No. 1 at the box office and remained there for weeks.
Included in his international work are all three chapters of the most successful comedy franchise in Russian cinema history, including “Lyubov v bolshom gorode 3”. The film opened at No. 1 and became one of the highest-grossing comedies in Russian and Ukrainian history.
In 2018, Dodson edited ME YOU HE SHE for Ukrainian media giant, Kvartal 95 starring Volodymyr Zelensky (now President of Ukraine). In only five weeks after its December release ME YOU HE SHE became the most successful movie in the history of Ukrainian cinema, out-performing such titles as “Black Panther” and “Mary Poppins Returns.”
2018 also saw the release of Dodson’s faux-documentary drama, THE LANDING. After a remarkable festival run, THE LANDING earned a limited theatrical release and is now playing on VOD, Hulu, and other streaming services. ComicCon.com’s ML Miller raves, “THE LANDING is a fantastic character driven thriller presented in a unique and brilliant format. There are surprises at every turn... as it moves to a deeply emotional and heart-wrenching tale of tragedy and dire consequence.”
David edited the 2013 Russian-language romantic comedy, 8 FIRST DATES. The film was the year’s No. 1 comedy, winning the Russian ‘Oscar’ for Best Comedy of the Year.
